1. When and where was the above photo taken?

“Wills Horse Park Alpharetta, GA, in June of 2016”

2. Name of event:

“Rolling Hills Horse Show”

3. What memories does it bring back to you?

“Besides feeling incredibly nervous at that time and having my instructor yell at me across the arena, I will never forget how incredibly hot it was. With Georgia’s 95 degree weather and humidity while I was wearing a navy jacket and black helmet, I thought for sure I wasn’t going to make it!”

4. Why is this your favorite photo?

“It’s a reminder to never give up on your dreams, no matter how unlikely they may be. You never know when you might surprise yourself. As a young girl I had always dreamed of being in a horse show but never did I think it would become a reality. At twenty-four years old I started taking lessons regularly and a year later, here I am competing in my first horse show. It just shows it’s never too late to achieve your childhood dreams.”

5. How would you feel if you lost these photos?

“I continue to look back at this photo as a reminder of what I have achieved. If I were to lose these photos, I wouldn’t be able to feel that feeling of accomplishment I get every time I look at them.”

Erica’s story is a great reminder to never give up on your dreams, no matter what it takes to achieve them. Stay focused and never stop trying, and never lose or let go of the memories you’ve made.
