*Does Picture Keeper work with Apple Photos and iPhoto?

Apple's Photos and iPhoto apps are probably at the top of the list of most popular photo managing tools. They are installed on your Mac computer by default, which makes them a good and logical place to keep your photos and videos organized and accessible. So, does Picture Keeper work with Photos or iPhoto? Absolutely! The Photos app uses Moments, Collections, and Years views to organize your photos and videos by when and where they were taken. So does Picture Keeper, backing up your Photos or iPhoto pictures and video clips from the oldest one to the most recent in just a few clicks! To add your Photos library you will need to adjust the Search Summary of the Picture Keeper application. You can check out this article to have a better understanding.

Customizing Search Summary on a Mac.

Please be aware that if you have enabled iPhoto library, you may need to open the settings of the application, not the search summary. Please contact us if you need assistance.

There is also an iCloud Photo Library which stores every photo and video you take and keeps them up to date on all your devices. Any edits you make are automatically updated everywhere.  If you have enabled iCloud Photo Library, or turned on Optimize Storage on your Mac, some of your photos and videos may be stored in iCloud.  Currently, iCloud files can only be backed up by the Picture Keeper Connect device through your iPad or iPhone.  This is a restriction put in place by Apple.  Please check this article on how to get started backing up your iCloud pictures.
