Channel Development Manager


Simplified IT Products, located in Marietta, GA, is a product development and marketing firm specializing in consumer technology solutions since 2008. We drive product adoption and sales through digital marketing, eCommerce, TV Shopping, Trade/Consumer shows, catalogs and traditional retail channels. Our products are available worldwide and we are aggressively growing new sales and marketing channels through new product and service offerings. We need high energy, goal oriented individuals to strengthen our team.

Job Summary:

Candidate should have 3+ years of experience selling/marketing consumer mobile or technology products or services through traditional retail or online marketplace channels. Must have a strong drive to succeed and be focused on achieving sales objectives and driving new business and marketing opportunities. Creativity and determination are necessary skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage current sales channels and prospect for new potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face-to-face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking and research.
  • Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales.
  • Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
  • Report on sales activity.
  • Keep detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions.
  • Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods.
  • Work with delivery teams to proactively address problems.
  • Work with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns.
  • Provide feedback to sales management on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation.
  • Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings.
  • Identify sales support requirements and work with marketing to develop improve sales tools.
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace.
  • Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail, B2C or sales/marketing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Comfortability with business relationships outside of the USA.
  • Basic financial and sales analysis comprehension.
  • Self starter.
  • Energetic...VERY positive.
  • Avoids roadblocks and figures out how to make things happen/get things done.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work with basic computer programs including Word, Excel, Powerpoint as well as online reporting portals and CRM tools.
  • Works well in a challenging, startup environment.
